South Korea, 1967 - 68 |
I was in the US Army from September 21, 1966 to July 2, 1968. After training I was stationed in South Korea for a year and a half. At the time, I hated it. Looking back though, I wouldn't trade those two years for any other two years of my life. Below are a few pictures from those years.
| Home on leave in Dayton, Ohio. Early 1967.
Before going overseas I came home on leave. Left to right: My then girlfriend Carol Moore, Me, Greg Bloom, Greg's girlfriend and later wife Tinka. Greg used to ride a 650 Matchless motorcycle, while I had a 650 BSA Thunderbolt. I haven't seen Greg in many years, although the last I heard he had divorced and moved to Florida also. Hey Greg! If you see this, email me. |

| South Korea, sometime in 1968. One Saturday our company piled into some jeeps and went to a beach south of Inchon. Here a few of us pose for a picture. We thought we could drink all of the beer in Korea. We nearly did too. |
